    [vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]If your pump has no power please do the following :[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]

    Check the power supply.

    [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="2/3"][vc_column_text]Firstly let’s check to make sure there is not a problem with the power source.

    If the pump power cable has a plug on the end of it please plug it into an extension lead from a different plug socket.

    Has this resolved the problem?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/3"][vc_single_image image="909" img_size="medium" style="vc_box_shadow_3d"][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="1/6"][vc_btn title="YES" style="3d" link="url:https%3A%2F%2Frainhub.co.uk%2Fwhen-i-open-a-tap-the-pump-does-not-start-electrician%2F|title:Thankyou||"][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/6"][vc_btn title="NO" style="3d" link="url:https%3A%2F%2Frainhub.co.uk%2Fwhen-i-open-a-tap-the-pump-doesnt-start-water%2F|title:The%20pump%20is%20dead%20and%20has%20no%20life%20%E2%80%93%20Circuit%20Breaker||"][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/6"][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/6"][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/6"][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/6"][/vc_column][/vc_row]

    Contact Plumber

    Unfortunately it doesn’t look as though the problem is related to the system. You will need to contact your plumber to investigate. FYI if you have continuous problems then check to make sure that your outside tap is not connected to the header tank.

    If it is it will be drawing more water from the header tank than the water going in and then causing an airlock. Your plumber should be able to fix the problem. They can of course contact us on 01733 405111 Option 2.[/vc_column_text][vc_btn title="Contact Technical Services" style="3d" link="url:https%3A%2F%2Frainhub.co.uk%2Fcontact%2F|||"][/vc_column][/vc_row]

    Air Lock

    [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]Over the years the Rain Director has been continually developed to assist with plumbers to remove airlocks.

    As far as the system is concerned there is only one reason ( that is sytem related ) that the water is not making it’s way to the toilets. Apart from airlocks unfortunately any other issues are related to the plumbing which is the responsibility of the plumber.

    Airlocks occur if the flow of water  into the header tank is less than the flow of the water leaving the header tank.

    The first thing to establish is when you purchased the Rain Director[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row equal_height="yes" content_placement="middle"][vc_column width="1/3"][vc_btn title="Before 2012" style="3d" align="center" link="url:https%3A%2F%2Frainhub.co.uk%2Fmy-toilets-wont-flush-5%2F|title:My%20toilets%20won%E2%80%99t%20flush%20%E2%80%93%20Airlock%20%E2%80%93%20Plumber||"][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/3"][vc_btn title="Between 2012 and Dec 2018" style="3d" align="center" link="url:https%3A%2F%2Frainhub.co.uk%2Fmy-toilets-wont-flush-3%2F|title:My%20toilets%20won%E2%80%99t%20flush%20%E2%80%93%20Airlock%20%E2%80%93%20V1||"][/vc_column][vc_column width="1/3"][vc_btn title="Since 2019" style="3d" align="center" link="url:https%3A%2F%2Frainhub.co.uk%2Fmy-toilets-wont-flush-4%2F|title:My%20toilets%20won%E2%80%99t%20flush%20%E2%80%93%20Airlock%20%E2%80%93%20V2||"][/vc_column][/vc_row]

    Power Pack

    [/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="2/3"][vc_column_text]Check the power pack, this is a 12v 1.5 amp ac/dc adaptor, these are common adaptors so you may have one for another appliance within the home that you can use to test.

    [vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]All pumps are electrically tested before they leave the production line.

    With some installations of the pump, the power socket could be either inside the tank turret or within the property.

    Please check the following :[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width="2/3"][vc_column_text]

    Check the Power Connection

    Visually check the socket that the pump is either hard wired or plugged into. Whether it is in the tank or within the property check to make sure that there is no water ingress in the socket.
