Check the water level Open the lid of the tank and check to make sure there is sufficient water. If you can see the top of the pump above the water level then this could be the problem. Is there water in the tank? YESNO

Try plugging the pump into an extension lead that you know is on a different circuit to where the pump is normally plugged into. Is the pump still tripping the electrics? YESNO
